Anyway, want to start out by saying thank you to Simms Fishing Company for all their support and help with this trip. Jared and I jumped on the 6:30am flight out of Philly to one of the best fishing destinations in the world, Bozeman Montana. Im going to keep it short, because I could type for hours and tell you every detail, i'll let the pictures do most of the talking for this one. But the background story is that we had gotten set up with an awesome guide Geoff Unger, who has been guiding for just ver 20 years, from PA (Super cool) to Montana, where he grew up and has called home for the last 15 years. After deciding the Madison and the Yellowstone were both fishing well, we picked one for each day. After a couple fish in the boat and a story about hamburgers, Permit, and too much beer, Jared and I both knew it was going to be a good couple days. After an awesome day on the Madison we were off to Paradise Valley to float the Yellowstone River, pulling up and getting out we found out real quick Geoff's take on light tippet, " Yeah water looks good, a bit clear, I guess we can try that 5x BullShit." Never fishing anything less than 4x Geoff was reluctant to tie such light tippet on, "light? what about 8x?" I said, I just got a blank stare. Anyway, here are the photos from the first 3 days, Simms visit, fishing around Bozeman, and 2 days with Geoff.
Great shots.
