There is nothing like a trip home to see the family, but when that trip entails new rods, new flies, and stripers, it can't be matched. This time of year, where we fish, most of the fish are no bigger than 18", so when my little sister reeled in a 24" fish , were very presently surprised. We preceded to catch about 8 fish over 20" with only 2 under. It was awesome, new flies, new rods and awesome fish, what a weekend. On top of that, mom made my favorite meal of all time, Cream of crab soup, cheese burgers, and french fries. Thanks Mom!
Oh yeah, and you have to go fish for some largemouth bass in Maryland, so we did that too.

Clear Cure Goo
Clear Cure Goo, has been on the shelves of may shops for a while now. I have been reading about it, our Bryn Mawr store carries it, but I for one reason or another had just never tried it, until recently. I was amazed at how fast it cured once hit with a UV light, I stated off using the "Thin" blend, while touching up the flies with the brushable bottle, wow it makes a great head, or fly if you are tying surf candies. Almost immediately after my first fly was complete I was filling out a Hareline order filled with this stuff. It works awesome and blows any other UV curing product out of the water. Here are a few examples of flies I have been tying with it.
